Press Release The ruling faction of the Missouri Libertarian Party (MoLP) has called for a State Party convention to be held in the Branson area this weekend. I myself will not be attending. The last time I went to a MoLP state meeting it was for the purpose of being expelled from the MoLP by majority vote upon an illegal bylaw aimed with myself as a target. The proceedings were both immoral and illegal according to the supposed principles of the Libertarian Party and the election laws of the State of Missouri. A political party recognized by the state is not a private organization allowed to deny or vote away through majority rule the political voice of one region of the state. As unforgivable was the MoLP holding the illegal expulsion proceedings in a restaurant managed at the time (he was subsequently fired) by one of their creatures so that the police could arrest me under guise of trespassing because I insisted on videotaping the public meeting under the Missouri Sunshine Law. While police power is loudly decried in enforcing laws to uphold majority public morality and sensibilities on the one hand, the MoLP has discovered the uses of police power under color of law in stifling political dissent while at the same time pretending to be against a police state not under MoLP control. As a result of monitoring the internal party traffic, it is apparent that the same 10-15 people running things still regard the MoLP as their personal "private property" political party and have every intention of allowing nothing more than a token dissent of not over 10 minutes time from myself. Therefore, because I really cannot stand these awful people in any case, and see no reason to risk another false arrest at the hands of a patently morally bankrupt MoLP establishment, I shall not attend the "official" MoLP convention. On behalf of the 32d Senatorial District and its Libertarian party, and whatever statewide Real Libertarians remain who are disgusted by the criminal and hypocritical pretensions of the MoLP and National LP establishment, I assert that whatever policies or pretensions arise from this MoLP faction meeting have no hold, sway, or power over us. We boycott this false convention. The only value in this false convention is to ascertain how widespread is the moral decay of the MoLP by counting, then remembering, the number and names of phonies, liars, hypocrites, weaklings, and criminals who attend.
